About Me
My name is Shoumik Perugu, a grade 12 student at Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville. With a deep-rooted passion for social equity, I founded MasterMoney to address the financial literacy gap among young immigrants.
This initiative reflects my commitment to empowering these communities through accessible education, and helping them navigate the complexities of Canada’s financial system.
Through my work, I aim to bridge knowledge gaps and foster financial independence, contributing to a more inclusive and financially secure future for all.
Problem Statement
Many individuals from marginalized communities in
Canada face unequal financial literacy opportunities, limiting their ability to achieve financial independence and thrive.
Mission Statement
My mission is to provide a free resource hub that breaks down the Canadian financial systems and educates financial literacy to young individuals new to Canada to enable them to reduce the socioeconomic divide from within and achieve financial independence.
